Booking work as a photographer or creative
Creative websites are usually the best-looking and worst-converting sites we see. The portfolio is immaculate and there is no way to tell what anything costs or how to book.
People hiring a photographer are nervous about two things: whether you are any good, and whether they can afford you. The portfolio answers the first. Most sites never answer the second.
Where photography & creative usually lose it
No pricing at all
Creatives hide price to start a conversation. Most people simply assume it is out of reach and enquire elsewhere.
A portfolio with no path out of it
Beautiful galleries, and nothing telling a viewer what to do next. Admiration is not a booking.
Enormous images, slow pages
Full-resolution files on a phone means people leave before the first photo appears — the one thing your site cannot afford.
No sense of the experience
Clients are buying a day with you as much as the files. What actually happens is rarely explained.
What we would do about it
- Packages with real starting prices, or at minimum a "from" figure
- Properly compressed images, because a slow gallery is an unseen gallery
- A booking or enquiry path from every gallery, not just a contact page
- What the process is like, start to finish
- Pages for the specific work you want — weddings, brand, product — not one gallery for everything
Questions people in this industry ask
Should photographers put prices on their website?
Yes, at least a starting figure. Hiding price to force an enquiry filters out far more people than it converts, because most assume the worst and move on. A "from" price qualifies enquiries so you spend your time on people who can afford you, and it is the single most common fix we make to creative sites.
How do photographers get more bookings from their website?
Make the next step obvious from wherever someone is looking. Most portfolios end in admiration rather than an enquiry because there is no path out of the gallery. Add a booking link to every gallery, publish starting prices, and describe what the day actually involves — clients are buying the experience as much as the images.
Why is my photography website so slow?
Almost always full-resolution images. A gallery of unoptimised photographs can be tens of megabytes, which on mobile data means people leave before the first one appears. Properly sized and compressed images look identical on screen and load in a fraction of the time — for a photographer this is the highest-value technical fix available.

Tell us where you are up to and you will get an honest answer from someone who has done this work before — including when the answer is that you do not need us yet.
What working with us actually looks like
A fixed price, written down
A free call, then a proposal with the scope and the number on it. No hourly drip, and no invoice that surprises you.
A person replies, not a sequence
We read every enquiry ourselves. If we are not the right fit we will say so and point you somewhere better.
One project manager throughout
The same person from the first call to launch, so you never re-explain the business to somebody new.
Built to bring in work
Enquiries, bookings and sales are the measure. A site that looks good and produces nothing has not done its job.
