Why Your Website Is Not Generating Any Leads

Read moreFor businesses already getting visitors who are not turning into customers.
This is the most fixable problem on this list, and the one most often solved by spending more money on the wrong thing. If people arrive and leave, buying more arrivals multiplies the leak.
The cause is nearly always the offer, the page, or the follow-up — and all three are cheaper to change than to out-spend.
Most pages describe the business rather than what the visitor gets. If someone has to work out what you are offering, they leave instead.
Every extra field costs completions. Ask for what you need to reply, not for everything you would eventually like to know.
Real work, real names, clear pricing signals, placed at the point of doubt rather than on a page nobody visits.
A large share of lost work is lost after the form, not before it. Speed of reply is often the whole difference.
Almost always the offer, the page or the follow-up rather than the amount of traffic. Either the visitor cannot tell quickly what you do and whether it is for them, the form asks for too much, or nothing on the page makes the business feel like a safe choice. Buying more traffic before fixing that just increases the number of people who leave.
Improve the rate at which existing visitors act. Doubling a conversion rate from one percent to two percent is the same as doubling ad spend, costs far less, and keeps paying afterwards. Start with the clarity of the offer and the length of the form — those two account for most of the gap in our experience.
As few as you need to reply usefully. Name and email are enough to start a conversation; a phone number and a short message are reasonable. Anything beyond that should earn its place, because every additional field measurably reduces the number of people who finish.
Sometimes, and that is usually a message problem rather than a lead problem. If a page is vague about price, scope or who you work with, it invites everyone. Being explicit about who you are for filters out the wrong enquiries before they cost you time.
Have a look at the work, the process and what is included before you speak to anyone.
See how we build lead systemsTell us where you are up to and you will get a straight answer from someone who has done this work before — what it takes, what it costs, and the order to do it in.
A free call, then a proposal with the scope and the number on it. No hourly drip, and no invoice that surprises you.
We read every enquiry ourselves. If we are not the right fit we will say so and point you somewhere better.
The same person from the first call to launch, so you never re-explain the business to somebody new.
Enquiries, bookings and sales are the measure. A site that looks good and produces nothing has not done its job.
